Tasks, deliverables, and milestonesTasks
Task 9.1: Dissemination and networking.
Two workshops as satellite events of major international conferences, such as IEEE CDC, IFAC World Congress or ECC.
Submission of survey papers to technical journals. Press releases, participation to public meetings and broadcasts, participation to exhibitions and trade fairs, articles in relevant trade journals or similar. Launching a series of periodic conferences on control of complex systems. Will also serve to disseminate the results of the EU funded in the field (i.e. ACTORS, CON4COORD, DISC, FeedNetback, AEOLUS, PRODI, WIDE, MULTIFORM, HD-MPC, CHAT…)
Task 9.2: Coordination of fundamental research and applications. Actions to coordinate research activities between workpackages WP 1-4 will be investigated. Explore the potential applicability of the fundamental advances in WP1-4 to the applied problems identified in AD1-3. Task 9.3: Identification of novel fundamental challenges, emerging applications and road-mapping. Evaluate the results of the first 2 years and identify fundamental challenges and emerging applications and develop the plan for remaining 2 years. HYCON2 science and technology roadmap: overall directions for research. It will provide a consensus view for future and will serve to communicate visions, stimulate creative research and monitor progress. The main criteria to be considered are: need, feasibility and impact. The task will consist of the following subtasks: Task 9.3.1. Define the scope and boundaries for the science and technology roadmap Task 9.3.2. Identify the control needs in each of the application domain. Identify system requirements and their objectives, identify control technology alternatives and their timelines. Task 9.3.3. Recommend the technology alternatives that should be pursued and create the technology roadmap which will contain the fundamental challenges and emerging applications and the plan for remaining 2 years..
Task 9.4: Provide input into the identification of thematic priorities
One of the main objectives of HYCON2 is to provide inputs from the research community and industry of emerging technologies and fundamental issues that will have an impact and their corresponding challenges that should be incorporated in the thematic priorities of research programs. In particular HYCON2 will provide input into the identification of thematic priorities for ERA-NETs and the development of new programmes or the definition of the focus of joint calls.
